Party on the Path is a free family fun day on Saturday, April 21 from 12pm to 6pm at Hereford’s Widemarsh Common and Redhill Playing Fields.
The events, which will be officially opened with a 5km fun run from Widemarsh to Redhill with the Wye Valley Runners, are open to everybody across the county. There are a range of exciting activities taking place including Zumba lessons at Widemarsh and belly dancing workshops at Redhill.
Hereford Pedicabs will be on hand to help transport visitors between the two locations, while The Jailhouse will be providing entertainment and DJ workshops at both sites. For those who complete an invitation, there will also be the opportunity to win an iPad, while those who walk or cycle to the events will be rewarded with a free picnic.
Councillor Adrian Blackshaw, cabinet member for highways and transportation, said: “This is an exciting event for Hereford and one which I hope people will support by coming along and having a fun day out. There will also be the opportunity to find out how you can save money, lower congestion and get fit by exploring active travel choices.”
He added: “We’d like to remind everybody that this is a car free event, as there is no available parking, so people are encouraged to walk, cycle or travel by bus to their party of choice.”
