Santa gets fit at Ledbury Children’s Centre

Santa will be joining toddlers, nursery, school children and parents in Ledbury, for festive fitness fun at the children’s centre in a bid to get fit for Christmas.

The event begins at 9.30am on Wednesday 12 December, and is being organised to encourage families to keep fit, active and healthy while still enjoying all the treats of the festive season, such as mince pies and chocolate.  It is part of a programme of activities at the centre to help get families with children aged five and under, into the Christmas spirit.  Children will have fun enjoying wiggles and giggles to music, team races and hoopla amongst other things.  Hot drinks and seasonal refreshments will be available at the centre afterwards.

During the afternoon there will be an interactive re-telling of the Christmas Story, by representatives from Ledbury Parish Church, which will involve the children wearing costumes, using props and singing to participate in the story.

Zoe Woods, local services co-ordinator at the centre, said:  “Christmas is great fun and all our families enjoy being a part of the seasonal activities we organise.

“We’ve lots of other activities lined up too.  The children have been making special hats to wear on Wednesday 19 December when we are all joining in Christmas songs and tales (9.30-111am again from 1.30-3pm).  And we’ll have a mixture of Christmas crafts and cookery activities on offer every Tuesday from 1.30-3pm in the run up to the big day.”

All families with under-fives are welcome
