New Street in Ross-on-Wye to be resurfaced

New Street is Ross-on-Wye is being resurfaced as part of Herefordshire Council’s road maintenance programme.

The work begins on Monday 10 September and is likely to continue until 15 September. It involves the removal of existing partially buried horizontal channel blocks, removal of the existing road surface and the laying of a new asphalt surface.

Due to the nature of the work, it will not be possible to park on the street during the working day (8am-5.30pm). To minimise disruption to residents, the council has agreed that anyone displaying a valid Residents or Visitors Parking permit for this zone, can park in the adjacent Corn Exchange car park which will be closed for general use for the duration of the work.

Access for businesses with private off street parking will be maintained whenever possible in a controlled manner using on site traffic management personnel.

Amey Herefordshire and Herefordshire Council apologise for any inconvenience the above works may cause.

If you have any enquires regarding parking please contact the council’s parking section on 01432 383276.
