Herefordshire Business Board to Recruit New Members

Herefordshire Business Board has a vital role in supporting enterprise and economic growth for Herefordshire and is now looking to recruit additional members. The key role of the HBB is to represent the collective interests of the private sector in the delivery of the economic strategy for the county, and the board also influences the decisions of the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership, guides policy and works alongside the Council and other Partners in supporting key development projects in Herefordshire.

HBB Chair, Neil Kerr said “ Our overarching objective is to help create new jobs in the County, and since its inception in December 2010, the HBB has had some great successes; not least leading the team that helped gain Enterprise Zone status for Skylon Park, the new Enterprise Zone in Hereford. The board works closely with Herefordshire Council and supports several grant schemes which help start-ups and growing businesses in the County”.

“I would encourage local business people to get involved. Being a member of the Herefordshire Business Board is a great opportunity to help shape the economic future of the County. We meet bi-monthly, the meetings regularly feature outside speakers, and members have the opportunity to take part in related project work.”
