Hundreds turn out for Bike Fest

Hundreds of local people enjoyed a fun day out at Bike Fest on Saturday 5 April. The event which was held on Bishops Meadow attracted visitors of all ages and abilities with a common interest in cycling.

The free event was organised by Herefordshire Council’s Choose how you move team and featured the opportunity to try a great range of bikes, trikes and special needs bikes under the expert guidance of the Get Cycling team, free bike marking and Bike Doctor service. Josie Pearson MBE, Paralympic Gold medalist was on-hand to sign autographs and mingle with the crowds.

Cllr Price cabinet member infrastructure said “the event was a great success with lots of smiling faces as people tried bikes from the traditional to specially adapted bikes for those with special needs.

We are delighted that so many people came along on the day and got involved in all of the events on offer.”
