Herefordshire Council will be holding two district elections in Ledbury and Leominster South on Thursday 17 July 2014.
There are three nominated candidates for Ledbury and five for Leominster South following the recent deaths of Councillor Peter Watts and Councillor Roger Hunt. There will also be a parish ward election taking place in Leominster South with two candidates standing.
Voting will be available from 7am to 10pm at the following polling stations:
- St Katherine’s Hall, High Street
- Eastnor Castle Visitor Centre, Eastnor
- Ledbury Customer Services Centre, The Master’s House
- Ledbury Primary School (Co-location building), Long Acres
- Royal British Legion Club (Function room), South Street
- Ivington Village Hall (The community room), Ivington
If you’re registering to vote for the first time or applying for a new postal or proxy vote, you will now need to be individually registered. You will be asked for your full name, date of birth and national insurance number at the time of registration. To find out more, visit www.herefordshire.gov.uk/voting or call 0844 939 6107.
The deadline to apply to be included on the register of electors, which will entitle you to vote in the elections, is Tuesday 1 July.
The last date to request a new postal vote or change / cancel an existing absent vote application is 5pm on Wednesday 2 July, while the deadline for new proxy vote applications is 5pm on Wednesday 9 July.
