Herefordshire Council can confirm that Ofsted, the body that inspects and regulates services which care for children and young people, have now concluded the on-site stage of an inspection of services for children in need of help and protection, children looked after and care leavers.
The purpose of the inspection was to assess the extent to which the help, care and protection given to children and young people in Herefordshire does protect them, does support their families and does improve the quality of their lives and futures.
Herefordshire Council has today received provisional feedback from Ofsted on the evidence of progress made since the last inspection and areas that need further work.
The findings of the inspection will now be subject to moderation and Ofsted is on course to publish their final report on 30 June 2014.
