Herefordshire’s public realm contractor Balfour Beatty Living Places (BBLP) is lending a helping hand to the British Red Cross when it stages its Great Spring Garden Event on Wednesday, April 29.
BBLP teams will manage the traffic and pick up litter at the charity’s major fund-raising event which will be held on the Whitfield Estate, Wormbridge, Hereford.
Debra Tritton, Chair Great Spring Garden Event 2015, President Herefordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, said: “Balfour Beatty Living Places supports the British Red Cross in staging this event, the traffic management combined with the volunteer presence on the day indicates their invaluable commitment to the community.”
The British Red Cross supports local people to maintain their independence in addition to providing a range of services including first aid training.
Andy Williams, BBLP contract director, said they would do what they could to ensure the event goes smoothly for the British Red Cross, their exhibitors and visitors.
“We are delighted to be able to lend our support to this very worthwhile charity as it stages a popular annual event and raises much needed funds,” he added.
In addition, BBLP supports community clear-ups picks and supplies litter packs and can arrange rubbish collection.
