Herefordshire Council will be giving £500 to all households in the county that were flooded in the recent storms. Financial recovery assistance will also be available for small and medium sized businesses that were severely affected by the floods in the county.
The grants are funded by central government as part of the Communities and Business Recovery Scheme. Herefordshire Council will be running the scheme and making payments to help people with their recovery costs.
Councillor Philip Price, cabinet member for infrastructure said: “We want to help households and businesses in flood affected areas get back on their feet. We want to make sure that the flood recovery funding we have been allocated by central government gets to residents and businesses as soon as possible.”
Herefordshire Council officers have identified flood affected properties across Herefordshire and these households and businesses will be provided with details as to what they need to do to apply for funding. If you consider yourself eligible and have not already been contacted please see our what to do after flooding page.
