BID result is vote of confidence in the city

In response to the news of a yes vote to create a Business Improvement District in Hereford City, Councillor Tony Johnson, Leader of Herefordshire Council said:

“The news that businesses across the centre of Hereford have backed the business improvement district (BID) is a vote of confidence in the city, the economy and those businesses themselves."

"This is a testament to the hard work of local business people who have seen the opportunities the BID presents and have gone out there and sold the benefits to their neighbours."

"It’s great news for the city and the county and I look forward to working with the BID partners to implement their business plan for the city."

"Supporting projects that will improve jobs and wages is a priority for the council. A Business Improvement District in Hereford will mean that the Council can work together with businesses across the historic core and the old market to improve the look and feel of the city and to get more visitors into the city, enjoying all that Hereford has to offer.”
