High Town refurbishment consultation off to a flying start

The launch of the High Town refurbishment consultation got off to a flying start last week with 270 people visiting the exhibition at Lloyds Bank Lobby and 119 online survey responses received (as of Monday morning).

The exhibition, which was held in Lloyds Bank lobby last Wednesday, 18 November and Thursday, 19 November proved to be so popular that it will be moved to the Butter Market on Wednesday 2 December so that it can be viewed by the public until the exhibition closes on January 3 2016.

Visitors to the exhibition can take part in the survey by completing the questionnaire and leaving it in the box provided or they can go on-line

Cllr Rone said, “I am delighted with the interest that has been shown by the public so far. I visited the exhibition last week and spoke to members of the public and staff and largely the response to the exhibition and to the plans have been positive.

I know that not everyone has the time to visit the exhibition but all of the exhibition panels can be viewed on the council’s website and you can link to an online version of the survey from there.”
