Funding advice for community projects

Herefordshire residents could access funding to deliver projects to benefit their community. Herefordshire Council’s project development team will be holding funding advice drop in sessions at libraries across Herefordshire during September and October.

It you have a project idea that will benefit the wider community, but don’t where to start or what funding might be available then we can help. The drop-in sessions are free and you don’t need to make an appointment, just come along.

Ledbury Library – Tuesday 15 September from 10am–1pm

  • Hereford Library – Wednesday 16 September 2015 from 10am–1pm
  • Bromyard – Thursday 17 September 2015 from 10am–1pm
  • Ross – Tuesday 13 October 2015 from 10am–1pm
  • Kington – Friday 16 October 2015 10am-12.30pm
  • Leominster – Friday 16 October 2015 1.30pm–4.30pm

Councillor Graham Powell, cabinet member economy and corporate services said, “Many people aren’t aware that funding is available from a wide range of sources to support a wealth of community initiatives.

Funding can support existing community groups with things like equipment and building improvements and there is also funding for new initiatives.

If you have an idea and want to do something positive in your neighbourhood come and speak to us. It could be a project connected to sport, heritage or the arts. Have a chat with the team who can advise and signpost you to funding sources to get that bright idea off the ground.”
