Herefordshire Interfaith Group will be marking the United Nations’ International Day of Peace with a multi-faith celebration at Hereford Cathedral at 4.30pm on Sunday 20 September 2015.
The International Day of Peace is celebrated internationally on 21 September each year to recognise the efforts of those who have worked hard to end conflict and promote peace. The International Day of Peace is also a day of ceasefire – personal or political.
Herefordshire Interfaith Group will celebrate the day with an event of music, dance, drama, readings from different faiths and cultures and a candle lighting ceremony at the cathedral. The programme will be followed by refreshments.
The celebration is open to anyone, of any faith, or no faith with a desire to promote peace among all peoples of the world.
