Successful Youth Grant for Ledbury

Youth Funding

Herefordshire Council has granted the organisation “Ledbury Youth Activity Support” £10,000 for the next 12 months to provide a drop in facility at the Barrett Browning Building in Ledbury Town Centre allowing space for young people between the ages of 12-16 years to come together.  It is expected that many young people from Ledbury and the surrounding area will benefit from this offer.

Funding will be used to provide training and expertise of other organisations to volunteers and for equipping of the drop in centre.  Additionally, the group will use the funding to organise specific activity sessions to be determined by the young people themselves.  The first drop in session was 13 July 2016.

It is hoped that the grant will enable the group to establish themselves over the coming months with a view to making it a sustainable group by the end of the funding.
