Has your child had their second MMR vaccination?

MMR vaccination aged childrenIf your child is to be fully protected against measles, mumps and rubella, they need to have two doses of the MMR vaccination.

Dose one… Is given when your child is 12 months old

Dose two… Is given when your child reaches around three years and four months (before they start school)

What is the MMR vaccination?

One vaccine
It’s a single injection administered into a young child’s thigh or an older child’s upper arm

Two doses
The MMR vaccine gives long lasting protection if you have both doses of the vaccination

Three infections
It protects against measles, mumps and rubella, which are viral infections that can quickly spread to unprotected children
