Re-surfacing works on Widemarsh Street

Widemarsh Street will be subject to night-time closures for re-surfacing works from Monday 6 March until Friday 10 March inclusive. The closures will commence at 7pm and will remain in place until 7am for five consecutive nights. Access to frontages will be maintained.

Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd have completed kerbing and junction works to the City Link Road and some of the neighbouring frontages and will re-surface Widemarsh Street from the junction with Newtown Road roundabout to the frontage of the Antiques Centre.

Andrew Davies, Project Manager, Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd said:

“Work to the Link Road is progressing well and we remain on programme to complete the road by the end of this year.

Once the re-surfacing work is complete we can remove the one-way system currently in place in Widemarsh Street, which will provide a safe completed road for the motorists and public.

I would like to thank businesses and motorists for their patience during these essential works.”
